We work with only one dog at a time (or more from the same family), giving your dog our full attention. There are no cages, crowded spaces, and no rush to move them through quickly. Instead, we work at a pace that suits your dog — using gentle Fear Free techniques, natural products, and kind hands to make grooming a positive experience.
Whether your dog is young or old, spirited or shy, we tailor every session to suit their individual needs. Dogs are given breaks and free access to our secure grassed outdoor area for toileting and fresh air — a simple comfort many busy salons can’t provide.

Hi, I’m Tash – your Fear Free certified groomer in Gisborne. I bring a holistic approach to grooming that is calm, personalised and centered on your dog’s well-being. I started Country Lane Dog Grooming with one simple goal: to create a space where dogs are treated with the same love, patience, and care I’d want for my own.

Pick up and drop-off service
For clients with genuine transport needs, we now offer a pick-up and drop-off service. Whether you’re unable to drive due to medical reasons, or managing a disability, we’re here to help. Just $20 return trip within Gisborne city limits — or $15 for Gold Card holders.
Regular clients enjoy free nail trims
Keeping your dog’s nails trimmed is an important part of their comfort. That’s why we offer complimentary nail trims between grooms for all regular clients on a 6–8 week schedule. It’s our way of helping you stay on top of their grooming needs — without the extra cost.
